My little Shamrock :)
Happy St. Patrick's Day! I was able to get off early from work to enjoy a little R&R with my boys :)
Jack is as happy as ever! Chewing on everything and learning so much! His gurgles and super loud laughs have me amused to no end!! And when he smiles right at me, my heart melts. Love this boy so much :)

A year a ago today (well March 9, 2012)
A year ago, I took a pregnancy test and the rest is history. A year later, I stand outside on a beautiful March day, holding my 3.5 month old in his favorite 'toy': the Baby Bjorn!! Could it get any better? He is so lovable!!! And now I can't imagine life without him. Crazy how that works :)
Jack remains addicted to socializing and observing the world from the Baby Bjorn facing out. He literally will not make a single sound as he enjoys the view from up high...and often he'll fall asleep in it after so much entertainment. It's hard work learning so much!
Jack's new thing is standing up over the Boppy or anything else he can lean over and 'flying over' it! Up and down over it....and then his cute little bum sticks up! Just love watching him explore moving around!
Jack remains an amazing baby. He eats, plays, sleeps and does it over and over again!! Never really complaining :)
We love you soooo much Jack !!! Here are a few pics from week 15!!

A great birthday!
Today, my little man helped me ring in 29 years with a great day! I woke up early to feed Jack, spent a few moments posting a hw assignment that was due, played tummy time with Jack and got in a good hot yoga morning session :)
After Brandon returned from taking his mom to radiation, we went downtown to introduce Jack to the Seattle waterfront. Little bits of sun peeked through the clouds throughout the day (and more importantly, it wasn't raining!). We had my favorite salmon and potato wedges meal for a late lunch at the Salmon Cooker on Pier 57. Then we hopped on the Ferris wheel that looks out over The Puget Sound and the city.
Finally, we finished with dinner and drinks at a new wine bar in the area. A few friends met up to help celebrate! All in all a happy day!
Over the past weekend, my sister and brother-in-law came up to go wine tasting in Woodinville with my parents and me (and Jack). Both days, Jack hung out all day, taking in the festivities in the baby Bjorn and sleeping when needed! What a great baby :)
I'm thankful to have my family to help celebrate! And I continue to be so thankful to have my greatest joy of my life: Jack!!! xoxoxoxo

Happy 3 Month Birthday Jack
Jack is 3 months
13 pounds, 3 ounces
24.5 inches
Our little guy is growing so fast. Looking back at newborn pictures today, he looks so much bigger and playful than the 8 pound 9.4 ounce boy I fell in love with. And in this short 3 months, my love for him grows deeper everyday. I spent his 3 month birthday holding and kissing him all day long!!! xoxoxo
This past week he has learned to roll! And he continues to take it all in; watching people's actions, returning a ginormous smile, laughing, talking....I just love how much he is learning. He is able to hold his head up on his own too. I just bought him a little baby seat...in the next weeks we are going to work on head control while sitting!
Tonight I lay Jack in his crib for sleep for the first time. I type this post listening through the baby monitor to Jack move about in his crib. I promised myself that I would put him to sleep in his crib at 3 months. When I made this promise back in November/December, 3 months seemed sooo far away. Now it has quickly approached and I am having difficulty sticking to this promise. My bed seems empty. Every night I have faced Jack and I have placed my arm around his head, stroked his soft hair, had my face a few inches from him, and gave his arms a little containment; he would quickly fall to sleep in the crook of my arm. I slept peacefully and I believe Jack did too Then when Jack woke to eat, all he had to do was wiggle around and I would wake. Now his crib seems so big...and he seems so small and alone in it. And I don't fit in it to cuddle him.....I already miss him. This is a very difficult transition for me. I cherish these last 3 months I have spent with Jack in my room. Am I ready to give it up? I honestly don't know. I am going to have to adjust to this new sleeping arrangement. When he begins to cry, do I run in and bring him to my room? It's going to be hard not to.....I'm going to have to work on this....
and while I do....

Our sweet little Valentine
Could I have a better Valentine's Day gift? I don't think so. jack and I played all day. Went grocery shopping to make daddy a homemade meal. He faced forward in the Baby Bjorn, and simply loved it. He was so happy looking around, I didn't hear a single peep. And in his cute knit had, he had people all of the store oohing and aahing over him. I wasn't surprised ;)
Brandon's mom was admitted to the hospital for intense nerve pain r/t her cancer? The doctors are trying to figure it out. So we spent a couple hours down there to visit. We'll know more soon. :(
And before bedtime, Jack and daddy each opened their V day cards. And we had a little photo session to end the day. Happy 1st Valentine's Day to my sweet and perfect little Jack :) Mommy and Daddy love our Valentine.

12 weeks ... And Rollin'
Jack turned 12 weeks yesterday...and he rolled over for the 5th time. Two times yesterday and 3 times on Monday :) Our Jack is growing ... I love his look after he rolls over, the look of shock and surprise is priceless. It looks like he's thinking, 'I rolled over, now what?!' I love my Jack :)
