Jack's 2 month well baby check up

Jack had his 2 month well baby check up today! He's meeting all of his milestones. He weighs 11 pounds 4.5 ounces, up 2 pounds from his 1 month appointment! And he is almost 2 feet tall, 23 3/4 inches. He did super well with his immunizations. He cried a little, but we snuggled the rest of the day together! Below is a picture from today getting more snuggles. Happy mama!!

Jack is 2 months!

Porcelain white and velvety smooth.

As I sit here nursing sweet little Jack, I can't stop rubbing his arms. White as porcelain and smooth as velvet. Free of freckles and blemishes, baby skin. I am in love! xoxoxoxo

Jack is 7 weeks old!

My little man is quickly getting older and older. We celebrated his 7 week birthday watching the Seahawks fight a hard fight in the playoffs. He enjoyed the first half splitting his time between eating and sitting up in the Boppy watching them play! In the 2nd half, he laid with dad and even took a nap. Jack has brought much luck to the Seahawks since his birth; but today he couldn't help them :)

At 7 weeks, Jack continues to amaze us :)
He loves standing, dancing and listening to his pandora tunes. We often have staring and smiling contests. Jack is really becoming interactive! He still doesn't like to sit still, he's enjoying exploring the world around him way too much! And if you stray from showing him attention, he'll let you know! Above all we love our little man SOOO much :)

6 weeks and loving life

Jack is really alert and active now. In fact, if he's not eating or sleeping, he's standing or playing. For the most part Jack is not content just laying in arms (as he was the first month). Now he needs to be exploring the world around him. He is obsessed with any lighting, loves listening to music, and likes to be supported so he can work on standing and building his leg muscles!! While standing, he is constantly on high alert, looking around and taking the world in. He is a mover and likes to push off anything he can. If he's being held, he will push off of my arms. If he's laying on me, he will crawl up my chest using his strong legs. He is learning everyday! And we just love him to pieces! Here are a couple of pics of him processing his environment.

Happy New Year's Eve

Foregoing dinner and dancing, we decided to stay home...the 3 of us! Brandon brought home 2.5 pound lobsters and opened sparkling wine. We have much to be thankful for. Our little baby boy was born this year and is such a blessing to us. It's amazing how we can't even imagine our lives without little Jack. I love to watch him sleep. He also loved to play. With a little support, he stands ob his own. No more laying around sleeping for this boy!
Tonight has been perfect; enjoying our 3's company!! I even opened up my FAVORITE winery wine: a 2008 merlot from Red Sky Winery.
Life is good. I raise my glass to a toast. Here's to a prosperous 2013, a family of 3 watching little Jack grow, crawl and walk this year :) Cheers!
