Halloween
October 2010

This Halloween was spent up north and down south. The Friday of Halloween weekend, we attended a Seattle University costume party where Brandon has met a few friends. On the following Saturday we attended my coworker and friend's Halloween party in Gig Harbor. This party never disappoints. Thanks Amy and Pat for hosting such a fabulous and spooky Halloween party....I think everyone was on their best behavior, at least to keep the spillage to a minimum! :)

The impromptu Seattle U party....Brandon a construction worker (his costume was laying in the back of his car) and me, Rachael Zoe (what I was already wearing to go out to eat). Hey, it was Brandon's idea....

Yes, I think your reflectors reflect.

The following night! A glimpse...
The French maid and the butler.

The Refreshinator...bringing plenty of water to share!

A cute sailor, unfortunately without her mate!

An Arabian princess!

...and her prince!

Some of the girls

I love Lucy!!

Mrs. Claus without the other Mrs. Claus or Mr. Claus, but with plenty of gifts to be shared!

Sunday night we didn't have a single trick or treater!! Just the way Brandon and I had hoped, we had a relaxing night...Happy Halloween!

Maui!!!
October 2010

Aloha! This was our 2nd annual NICU girls' trip to Maui! Last year's trip was so much fun we just had to do it again. This time it was for 6 nights and with 11 girls, it was bound to be crazy! It sure didn't disappoint!

Much time was spent in the sand, just sleeping, reading and relaxing!

Frolicking in the sand!

View of black rock where many of the girls snorkeled and saw a few turtles!
This picture was taken from The Royal Lahaina Resort where Brandon and I stayed during our visit in June.
(For Brandon)

A sunset from the pool deck of the Royal Lahaina Resort!

Caught a salamander!

Love this flower!

My main sightseeing trip this time was to drive up the 10,023 ft to the top Mt. Haleakala to see the sunrise. Despite the very early morning and the frigid temperatures with the below freezing wind factor, I was glad I did the trip (I speak for myself, not sure how the other girls felt about the trip). After we were finished freezing, we descended back to the warmth of Maui by laying on McKenna Beach in Wileala! It's amazing how you can go from freezing to hot (needing to jump in the ocean) in about 1 hours time!

Waiting for the sunrise! Our visit was commentated by a loud Japanese tourist, speaking only in Japanese! He thoroughly enjoyed the sunrise, and because he was wearing a long down parka, he must have got the memo that its freezing at 10,000 feet!

On our way down to McKenna Beach...

Lanai in the background. Love the waves breaking.

Sunsets too!

View from the hot tub!

The Jack Johnson concert
October 2, 2010

This was our 2nd year seeing Jack Johnson in concert at the Gorge. He played many new songs plus tons of my favs! His music is so good and is great to see live!!! Since it was Brandon's birthday weekend, we made a fun long weekend staying at our condo in Crescent Bar. The weather was gorgeous - mid 80s, when the weather back home was not so great!
